Research on causes and countermeasures of waterlogging in typical hilly cities

      • In order to systematically analyze the characteristics and causes of waterlogging in hilly cities, taking Pingxiang Economic Development Zone in Jiangxi Province as the research object, an urban waterlogging mathematical model of source-pipe network-river lake total factor coupling based on Infoworks ICM software was constructed. From the perspective of river basin, the causes of waterlogging were systematically analyzed include low design standards for rainwater pipe networks, defects in the pipe network, unreasonable drainage zoning, lack of storage and regulation space, and insufficient drainage capacity of the channels. The system governance scheme with the optimization of drainage zoning, the strengthening of lake reservoir regulation and storage, and the improvement of channel drainage capacity as the core were put forward. In full consideration of the actual situation of regional economic development and the difficulty of implementing engineering measures, combined with the urgency of governance objectives and governance needs. Reasonable arrangement of short-term and long-term measures were proposed, from the recent relief of waterlogging in the area to the long-term reaching the standard of waterlogging control, can provide ideas for waterlogging control in the same type of hilly areas.
