Research and Application of Ecological Safety Buffer Zone for Tail Water of Sewage Treatment Plants in Plain River Network

Abstract
In order to understand the removal effect of the ecological safety buffer zone on pollutants under different seasonal conditions.Based on the characteristics of the plain water network system, this paper introduces the mechanism, process flow, and design parameters of the ecological safety buffer zone at the end of a wastewater treatment plant in Nantong City. Furthermore, it analyzes and studies the removal effect of the ecological safety buffer zone technology on pollutants in water under both cold and warm seasons. The results show that the ecological purification-type safety buffer zone exhibits good treatment effects on up-to-standard tail water from wastewater treatment plants. Under cold season conditions, the removal rate of pollutants such as CODcr in the ecological purification-type safety buffer zone is slightly lower than that in warm seasons. However, the main indicators of the effluent water quality generally meet the requirements of Class III to IV water specified in the "Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water" (GB3838-2002), achieving the dual purposes of reducing pollution and carbon emissions, conserving water resources, and is of great significance for promoting the construction of a beautiful China.
